The CrossPoint Food Pantry
The CrossPoint Food Pantry is a mission that started in a small pantry closet and has expanded to cover more than 1,000 square feet and serve more than 200 people every time they open their doors. Reaching out to the 17103, 17109, and 17111 zip codes, the Pantry has very quickly gained a reputation in the community as being a place where people are loved and respected for who they are and not what they have. Located in the basement of the Annex at our Rutherford Campus, the Pantry is open every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday from 1-3 pm. By working closely with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank they provide important staples such as pasta, cereal, meats, and fresh produce! For our volunteers it’s a great opportunity to serve in a community ministry. If families want to work, there are plenty of jobs like doubling bags, carrying groceries to cars, restocking shelves, and associated with pantry patrons. Our volunteers in ministry have greatly expanded this mission outreach and thanks to the donations and contributions from our generous congregations, lives have been changed tremendously!
Our Hours of Service
Although we have volunteers stocking shelves and collecting food all the time, we are open for food pickup on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of every month from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Our Location
The Pantry can be found in the basement of the Rutherford Campus Annex. The address is 6570 Mifflin Ave., Harrisburg, PA 17111 and there is a sign on the property to help you find us.
